Peace is fragile. We must preserve it.

Ukraine as no other knows the price of democracy and independence. Since the beginning of the peaceful protests in Maidan in November 2013 more than 16,000 people have been wounded, 1.3 million internally displaced, over 8,000 killed and more than 45,000 km2 territory are currently outside of Ukrainian control.
‘Fragile Independence’ is an exhibition that contrasts the boundless beauty of the Ukrainian land, people and their enduring culture with the recent social upheaval and conflict devastating the East of the country.
The exhibition features internationally renowned photographers such as Sergei Loiko of the Los Angeles Times, members of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers such as Alexey Kolobov and Ivan Bogdan and many other Ukrainian and international photographers. You will also be able to see photographs from the frontline made by Ukrainian soldiers as well as paintings by Ukrainian children as part of the ‘Modern Ukraine through Children’s Eyes’ project.
All proceeds from the exhibition will go to Ukraine Aid UK towards humanitarian aid for the victims of the conflict and humanitarian crisis in the East of Ukraine.
Exhibition Opening Hours:
Saturday 19 September: 15:30 - 22:00
Sunday 20 September: 10:00 - 15:30
